A motorcyclist died in a crash early this morning on Cherry Creek Dam Road in Arapahoe County.
The crash happened at about 5 a.m., said Trooper Ryan Sullivan of the Colorado State Patrol.
The State Patrol identified the driver as Stanislav Garnov, 25, of Denver.
Garnov was driving a black 2009 Suzuki GSXR 1000 westbound on the road when he hit a guard rail and was thrown from the bike, Sullivan said.
The road was closed this morning as investigators looked over the scene.
Alcohol or drugs probably contributed to the crash, the State Patrol said.
Garnov was wearing a helmet, Sullivan said.
