LONGMONT, Colo.—Longmont police are investigating a fatal crash that left a 42-year-old Longmont man dead.

Police say Charles Wesley Haring was making a turn from eastbound Colorado 119 onto County Line Road when his Honda Accord was struck on the passenger side by a truck Friday evening. The Weld County Coroner’s office says Haring died early Saturday.

Haring’s 13-year-old son was also injured in the crash and was flown to Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

Police say they don’t suspect that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash and that it appears there was no speeding.

The woman driving the truck was 40-year-old Leslie McGill of Longmont. She and her 15-year-old daughter were treated and released from a Lafayette hospital.
