The Pfister Hotel is one of Milwaukee’s most regal addresses, but some baseball players swear the 116-year-old building is haunted. “Everything’s scary,” Minnesota’s Carlos Gomez said. “Everything in the hotel, the paintings and pictures, it’s a lot of old, crazy stuff.” Rockies manager Jim Tracy said he loves the hotel’s quiet atmosphere, though the same couldn’t be said for his players when he was managing the Dodgers. “I was hearing suggestions, to the point that they were saying, ‘I’ve got to go to a different hotel,’ ” Tracy said. Allison Jornlin, who leads haunted history tours in Milwaukee, said guests have reported seeing a “portly, smiling gentleman” who “is thought, usually, to behave very well. But MLB players seem to bring out his mischievous side.” Why’s that? “Obviously, he’s a Brewers fan,” Jornlin said. The Associated Press
