PHILADELPHIA — A discrimination suit has been filed against a suburban swim club that canceled the memberships of dozens of minority children.
The lawsuit was brought Friday by an attorney for about 60 children and demands unspecified damages. It alleges that the Valley Club in Huntingdon Valley discriminated on the basis of race.
Club officials say the decision was made out of safety concerns because there were too many children in the pool.
