The video that Nike representatives didn’t want people to see — a college player dunking on NBA star LeBron James — finally leaked to the public Wednesday.
Tabloid sites posted a grainy video from the LeBron James Skills Academy in Akron, Ohio, earlier this month, in which Xavier’s Jordan Crawford dunked on James.
Two videographers recorded a pickup game that showed the dunk. But officials with Nike, who run the camp, confiscated the tapes because videotaping of after-hours pickup games is not allowed.
Crawford said his dunk happened in the first 20 minutes of a game that lasted about two hours and did not prompt any reaction from James.
“We just went on playing,” Crawford said then.
