Greg Maffei, the chief executive of DirecTV parent Liberty Media, and another internal candidate have emerged as early front-runners for CEO of the satellite-TV company, according to a report by the New York Post.
Citing three sources, the report said Maffei and Bruce Churchill, president of DirecTV Latin America, top the list of potential replacements for Chase Carey after Cablevision’s Tom Rutledge and Comcast’s Steve Burke withdrew their names.
