GREELEY, Colo.—A woman sought as a witness in an Arizona murder case has been arrested while watching a rape trial in Colorado, briefly disrupting the courtroom.

Deputies arrested Felicia Simmons Thursday in the Weld County Courthouse in Greeley.

Authorities say she failed to appear at a hearing in Tucson, Ariz., although she had been granted immunity for her testimony in a murder case against her ex-boyfriend.

The Greeley Tribune reports Simmons was sitting with the family of the defendant in the rape trial when she was arrested.

The Tribune says deputies first mistook one the defendant’s relatives for Simmons, prompting an outburst of profanities from another relative. The trial was briefly halted.

Arizona prosecutors say they will seek to have Simmons extradited.
