LINCOLN, Neb.—A Nebraska football player has been fined for a missing license plate.

On Monday, running back Quentin Castille was fined $50 and ordered to pay $44 in court costs.

After a deal with prosecutors, Castille had pleaded no contest to failing to deliver a vehicle title on sale. In exchange, prosecutors dropped two other misdemeanors.

Police stopped the 20-year-old on April 5 in Lincoln for not having a plate on the front of his car, a 1995 Honda.

The plate was still registered to the former owner.

In June, Castille missed a court date, so Lancaster County Judge Mary Doyle issued a warrant for his arrest. He showed up the next day, so she recalled the warrant.
