Getting your player ready...
Great on tuna sandwiches or in deviled eggs. From “Sips and Apps,” by Kathy Casey (Chronicle). Makes about 6 tablespoons, easily doubled or tripled.
Ingredients
2 teaspoons wasabi powder or 1 tablespoon wasabi paste, or to taste
2 teaspoons water
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon sugar
Directions
Mix the wasabi powder and water and let sit 5 minutes. (If using wasabi paste, you do not need to let it sit.) Mix in the mayonnaise and sugar. Cover and refrigerate, for up to 1 week, until needed.
