DENVER—It’s the offseason for the Denver Nuggets, but World Wrestling Entertainment is in full swing and headed to Denver to make up for an appearance it was forced to cancel because of a conflict with the NBA playoffs.

The WWE said Friday it will feature four title matches in an Aug. 7 show at the Denver Coliseum. It’s a makeup for the episode of WWE’s show “Monday Night Raw” scheduled at the Pepsi Center May 25. It had been booked since last year.

But the Nuggets made the Western Conference Finals and were set to play the Los Angeles Lakers that same night at the Pepsi Center.

WWE chairman Vince McMahon made several public, verbal jabs at Nuggets and Pepsi Center owner Stan Kroenke and moved his event at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The Nuggets won the May 25 game 120-101, but lost the series 4-2.
