Colorado Congressman Jared Polis raised about $240,000 through the first half of this year to dole out to other candidates and political committees, according to campaign finance documents filed Friday.
The Jared Polis Victory Fund has already donated about $140,000 to candidates and a Democratic Party committee, leaving the joint fundraising committee with $96,000 on hand. Most of the money went to first-year Democrats in the U.S. House who could face tough re-election fights next year.
Polis’ parents, sister and brother contributed $204,6000, and his business partner gave $20,000, the filing said.
