Kenny Perez singled home Matt Miller with the winning run as the Colorado Springs Sky Sox rallied for a 4-3 victory Friday over the visiting Nashville Sounds in the completion of a Triple-A Pacific Coast League game that was suspended Wednesday night.
Joel Peralta pitched an inning of scoreless relief in the ninth to earn the victory. Eric Young Jr. doubled and scored twice for the Sky Sox.
In the seven-inning second game of the doubleheader, Sky Sox starter Kurt Birkins allowed four runs in 4 1/3 innings as the Sounds won 5-2.
Colorado Springs (60-53) holds a 3½-game lead over Salt Lake in the Pacific North Division.

Seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong will race in the Cross Country Colorado State Championships of mountain biking this weekend in Snowmass Village. The races run through Sunday and serve as a warm-up for the Leadville Trail 100 next week, in which Armstrong is expected to compete.

Cody Campbell, a 17-year-old from Colorado Springs, split time with starting goaltender Zane Gothberg of Minnesota as the U.S. under-18 select hockey team lost 6-1 to Canada in an exhibition game in preparation for the Memorial of Ivan Hlinka Tournament in Piestany, Slovakia. Campbell has committed to play for New Hampshire next season.
