BOZEMAN, Mont.—Johns Mansville, a building materials manufacturer that’s part of billionaire Warren Buffett’s empire, is buying a Montana-based insulation maker.
Corbond Corp., a 26-year-old manufacturer with offices in Bozeman and Belgrade, will be a wholly owned subsidiary that makes spray-foam insulation.
Managers in Montana didn’t release financial details of the purchase by Denver-based Johns Manville, which is owned by Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway.
Following the sale, a product demonstration and training facility is planned for administrative space at Corbond’s Belgrade offices.
Corbond says Neal Ganser, the company’s chief executive officer, will work as a consultant.
