To sweeten these tough economic times, the Denver Zoo is offering everyone free admission to the zoo on their birthday.
Zoo officials say they want to give birthday celebrants “a wild one to remember.” Other free gifts include a junior ice cream cone, a spin on the Conservation Carousel, a souvenir button and 10 percent off at the gift shop.
Birthday guests must first register online at , and must visit on their birthday. The zoo will e-mail a ticket and confirmation message that must be brought to the main entrance. Proof of birth date is required. Proper ID forms include a driver’s license with a photo, government-issued photo ID, passport, a birth certificate or photo school ID.
