SAN FRANCISCO — A man suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend with a shotgun blast while she worked in a toll booth during rush hour was arrested Wednesday after an overnight manhunt, police said.
Nathaniel Burris, 46, of Richmond is also accused of fatally shooting a friend of the woman’s while he waited in a pickup in a nearby parking lot.
Burris was booked on two counts of murder after being spotted by California Highway Patrol officers in Placer County, about 120 miles northeast of the scene of Tuesday’s shooting.
