FRISCO, Colo.—Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet is hosting two town hall meetings this morning, making stops in Frisco and Edwards.

The Bennet town halls aren’t designated for talk about the overhaul of health care, but health care is likely to be a major topic of discussion. After the meetings, Bennet is headed to Grand Junction to join President Barack Obama for a town hall on Saturday to talk about health insurance.

Health care changes have been the dominating topic for members of Congress during this August recess. Republican Rep. Mike Coffman and Democratic Reps. Ed Perlmutter and Jared Polis have already held meetings. At an earlier town hall, Bennet said Colorado and the nation “desperately” need to change the health care system.
