FORT COLLINS — One freshman Democrat in the House says she would not have voted for the health care overhaul if it had come to a vote last month.

Rep. Betsy Markey told constituents in Fort Collins on Tuesday that she had concerns about the high cost of the overhaul. Health care will be the dominant question before the House when Congress returns next month.

Markey held the meeting with a limited number of constituents and plans more small meetings over the next couple of weeks. Markey said she favors health care changes but said she would not have voted for the House bill without changes.

Markey will hold a similar meeting today in Weld County. The Associated Press
