ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—An investigator with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was injured while pursuing a car theft suspect.
Few details were immediately available about the Wednesday afternoon shooting in Englewood. Sheriff’s spokesman Jim Shires says only that the officer was being treated in an area hospital. Shires did not describe the severity of the injury, nor did he say whether a suspect is in custody in the shooting.
KMGH-TV in Denver reported that the auto theft suspect was also injured.
