DENVER—The Colorado Securities Commission has filed a complaint alleging two people and two companies violated securities registration and anti-fraud law.
The complaint, announced Monday, names Joseph D. Doll of Broomfield, Richard H. Janoka of Colorado Springs and Colorcom Ltd. and Accelerated I/O Inc., both of Broomfield.
The complaint alleges, among other things, the defendants raised neary $3 million with promises their technology was ready to be marketed and told investors they would earn upwards of 600 times their initial investment.
Doll says the companies didn’t knowing violate registration laws and never promised the technology was ready to be marketed. Doll says any investor can withdraw, but only 3 or 4 percent have.
Janoka says investors were told about the risks.
