Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki shook off a right leg injury to remain in the game after taking an awkward swing in the first inning. Tulowitzki was dealing with tightness, as he kept squatting to stretch out the leg muscle for a few innings.

Ryan Spilborghs does not take left-handed compliments personally. He has become a left-handed complement. His starts now come against southpaws. “That’s my role, and I am fine with it,” said Spilborghs, whose grand slam won the game in the 14th.
