Sound Tribe Sector 9 has more in store for fans who couldn’t get enough of the Georgia band’s shows at the Fillmore and Red Rocks last month. Now they can catch their favorite electro- synth grooves when the group returns for a two-night New Year’s Eve stint at the Wells Fargo Theatre. Sure, the band’s Dec. 29 acoustic concert (billed as their first-ever) at the University of Denver’s Gates Hall is already sold out, but diligent souls can fight for Dec. 30-31 tickets starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday. ($32.50-$70, Ticketmaster) Regina Spektor’s commercial draw has lately caught up with her critical kudos, as evidenced by the size of the venues she’s playing on her tour to promote new album, “Far.” Spektor upgrades from the Paramount to the Fillmore Auditorium for her Nov. 7 Denver show. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($32, livenation ) The Used have one of the more dramatic stories in pop music, even if their beat-you-over- the-head hardcore songs don’t always reflect the nuances of that history. The band, originally from the strict confines of Orem, Utah, will play the Fillmore on Oct. 11 with the Almost and Drive. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($25, ) The Sounds are billing an Oct. 31 show at the Ogden Theatre as a “Halloween Costume Extravaganza,” so you’d better not be caught without a suitably creative one. In fact, the grand prize winner receives a one-year pass to the venue. Tickets for the concert with Foxy Shazam are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($22.25- $25, Ticketmaster) Playing for Change at Etown features an international cast of musicians bolstering their sponsor’s mission of bringing peace through music. Mohammed Alidu (Ghana), Peter Bunnetta (Los Angeles), Grandpa Elliott (New Orleans), Louis Mhlanga (Zimbabwe), Titi Tsira (South Africa) and others will perform. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($34.50-$49.50, TicketHorse) Os Mutantes, the legendary Brazilian band who influenced generations with their unapologetically experimental music, will play Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom. Although this is a very different Os Mutantes than the late ’60s-early ’70s tropicalia and psych act most of us are familiar with, it still promises to be a raucous show. Tickets for the Sept. 24 show with DeLeon are on sale. ($20-$22, cervantesmaster ) Ray LaMontagne added another date to his previously announced Nov. 17 show at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Tickets for the Nov. 18 concert are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($30-$45, Ticketmaster) Motörhead’s Sept. 26 concert at the Fillmore with Reverend Horton Heat has been canceled a little over a month after it was announced.
