ERIE, Colo.—A 500-pound moose spotted in a northern Colorado town has been tranquilized and relocated by state wildlife officials.
Alarmed residents in Erie reported seeing the year-old female moose near a county highway and by a creek. The moose was tranquilized Wednesday morning.
Jennifer Churchill of the Colorado Division of Wildlife says the tranquilization and removal went off without any problems. Last month, another female moose was tranquilized and moved from Broomfield, in Denver’s northern suburbs. Churchill says the two may be sisters.
