
Six months ago the Ermoyans noticed business slipping as customers pulled back. Three months later things picked up a bit, although road construction slowed customer traffic. More people inquired about work.
Throughout the summer months, we have seen a steady flow of customers. We have maintained our prices going on two years now.
Our regular cakes and raised are 85 cents each, and a dozen is only $8.25. Our baking has also remained similar in volume.
Sales outcome is still unpredictable, with some days resulting in many or no leftovers.
We have noticed a drop in lunch business, most likely because people are eating less due to the summer heat. Still, we’re open seven days a week.
We are looking forward to the fall season with weather cooling down, hot lunch menu picking back up, and cold days ideal for a tasty doughnut and hot cup of coffee. We are also considering introducing new seasonal baked specialty items.
Construction has been a large factor affecting our sales.
Now that Arapahoe Road is finally complete in our immediate area, the task is to get the general public traveling back on this street.
It has been almost a year, and we can tell by the number of vacancies in our shopping center that activity here really has decreased; we can only hope for a speedy rise in traffic flow.
We are pleased to hear that the city of Centennial is in a sense “paying it back” to this shopping center by conducting a “grand reopening” per se on Saturday, Sept. 19.
