Trygve Myhren will succeed Joy S. Burns as chairman of the University of Denver board of trustees, DU announced Thursday.
Myhren, president of Myh ren Media Inc., has been a trustee since 1995. The election took place Monday.
Myhren has been a strong advocate for innovation, academic excellence, integrity in intercollegiate athletics and fiscal accountability. He has served on several trustee committees and chaired DU’s audit, finance and budget, and faculty and educational-affairs committees.
Burns, a DU board member for 28 years, served as chairman from 1990 until 2005 and again from 2007 until Monday.
