CENTENNIAL, Colo.—A psychotherapist has testified that a child who lived in the same Aurora home as a missing girl told her the girl was punished for bed wetting by having her head dunked in a sink.

Psychotherapist Vickie Kearney testified Wednesday in the trial of Aaron Thompson, charged with fatal child abuse against his daughter Aarone (AIR’-uh-nay).

Thompson reported Aarone missing in 2005, when she would have been 6. Investigators believe she was already dead.

Kearney says the child she worked with, who’s now 16, was the daughter of Thompson’s live-in girlfriend Sheley Lowe, who died in 2006. Thompson’s attorneys claim Lowe killed Aarone.

Kearney says the girl told her the dunking occurred the last night she saw Aarone. The girl told Kearney Aarone was locked in a closet earlier.
