The rest of the story:

After Friday night’s thrilling 41-38 victory over Fossil Ridge, one might think Windsor would hand out the game ball to Conner Glenn. After all, the senior rushed for 256 yards on 15 carries and gave the Wizards the lead for good with a 99-yard kickoff return with six minutes to play. Instead, the Wizards gave the ball to the guy who covers them. Windsor Beacon sports reporter Jason Shedd found out Wednesday that the melanoma on his lip which was removed several years ago had spread into his jaw and brain. He has initially been given a timeline of several weeks to several months until the cancer overtakes him. Shedd, 34, is married and has two children. There is a fund set up in his name at the Bank of Colorado.
