OU’s Bradford injured in loss

Sam Bradford, right, Oklahoma: This isn’t what the defending Heisman Trophy winner planned in the opener. Getting slammed to the ground in the second quarter, Bradford left with a shoulder sprain after going 10-of-14 for 96 yards and a touchdown. He watched the second half with his right arm in a sling and will be re-evaluated.

Tim Tebow, Florida: The 2007 winner started the 2009 campaign with a solid yet short day against Division I-AA Charleston Southern. Tebow finished with 188 yards passing (10-of-15) and one touchdown (he also scored on a 1-yard keeper). He gave way to his backup late in the second quarter.

Colt McCoy, Texas: Playing into the fourth quarter against visiting Louisiana-Monroe, the senior finished with 317 yards (21-of-29) with two TDs and an interception and finally left when the Longhorns were ahead 52-10.
