A joint Pueblo Police-Pueblo Sheriff’s Department bomb and SWAT team cleared the Pueblo courthouse and judicial building this morning after a bomb threat was received.

Laurie Kilpatrick, spokesperson for the Pueblo Sheriff’s Department, said the Pueblo County Communications Center received the threat at 7:34 a.m. from a male caller.

The man said that the bomb was located in the “courthouse,” said Kilpatrick.

Because the courts are actually in the judicial building rather than the courthouse, both buildings were swept, said Kilpatrick.

No bomb was found and normal operations resumed at 9 a.m. Howard Pankratz: 303-954-1939 or hpankratz@denverpost.com
