Sunnyside shines. The seventh annual Sunnyside Music Festival takes over Chaffee Park today , with food, fun and music on three stages. The festival’s main stage offers the soulful crooning of Jessica Sonner, the bluegrass-rockabilly rhythms of Oakhurst, the down-tempo grooves of Ode to the Marionette, the Afropop of Mohammed Alidu & the Bizung Family, and the dub-reggae sweep of Fort Collins’ Dub Skin to close the festival. The event’s beer garden anchors a smaller stage for local acts, including the Highlands Ramblers and Medicine Jones. Back again are last year’s wildly popular Pan African Drummers. It’s free. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Chaffee Park, West 44th Avenue and Tejon Street.
