CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carolina backup quarterback Josh McCown limped off the field Sunday with a injured left knee in the fourth quarter after he was sacked by Darren Howard in a 38-10 loss to Philadelphia. McCown had come on only as a replacement for starter Jake Delhomme, who had a miserable performance.

Bears Urlacher injures wrist.

Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher left Chicago’s game with the Packers in the third quarter with a wrist injury. It wasn’t clear which play Urlacher was injured on, but he left on Green Bay’s first drive of the second half. Team officials had no other details about the injury or on his possible return.

Mora says injuries to LBs are minor.

The Seahawks lost two of their three starting linebackers when outside linebacker Leroy Hill and middle linebacker Lofa Tatupu left the game against St. Louis, though Seattle coach Jim Mora thinks the injuries are “very minor.”

Giants’ Ware, Nicks get hurt.

New York Giants backup halfback Danny Ware dislocated his left elbow returning the opening kickoff against the Redskins. And Giants first-round draft pick Hakeem Nicks was on crutches late in the game after spraining his left foot in the fourth quarter.

Colts WR Gonzalez strains knee.

Colts wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez strained a knee ligament against Jacksonville and did not return.
