COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Police say a Colorado Springs man was assaulted and robbed when he pulled over to help a man who flagged him down.

Police say the victim was driving through Memorial Park at about 11 p.m. Sunday when he stopped for the other man, thinking he needed help.

A second man with a handgun ordered the driver to pull into a parking lot. The two assailants then took money from his wallet, assaulted him and ran away.

The victim wasn’t seriously injured. His name hasn’t been released.

Police searched the area with dogs but dogs but didn’t find the robbers.
