Shannon Sharpe becomes the 22nd member of the Broncos’ Ring of Fame during a ceremony at halftime Sunday.
Sharpe, who played 12 seasons for the Broncos (from 1990-99 and from 2002-03), will be the first tight end inducted. Among his career highlights:
Voted to the Pro Bowl seven times as a Broncos player. His selections from 1992-98 tied a team record for most consecutive Pro Bowls.
Key member of the Broncos’ two NFL championship teams (1997 and 1998).
Selected all-pro four times.
The Broncos’ career leader in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns by a tight end.
Among all players, including wide receivers, has the second-most catches (675), receiving yards (8,439) and touchdowns (55) in Broncos history, covering 172 regular-season games.
