DENVER—The head of a legislative committee studying reforms for Colorado’s worker’s compensation law says changes may be in store.

Sen. Morgan Carroll, D-Aurora, said Thursday lawmakers cannot ignore problems that were aired during hearings. They include lavish expenses and compensation for company officials while clients had claims denied.

A legislative committee studying the problems will meet Friday to vote on possible legislation to be considered next year to fix the problems.
