WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is seeking another two-month delay in a handful of key military commission trials of terrorism detainees, aides said. The previous delay granted in six commission cases ends today.
Separately, two Republican senators, Pat Roberts and Sam Brownback of Kansas, said Wednesday that they no longer would block the confirmation of key Obama nominees because they now believe Guantanamo detainees won’t be relocated to Fort Leavenworth, Kan.
