A man was shot in the 2600 block of Clay Street on Wednesday night, and his alleged assailant was caught by Denver police after a car and foot chase.
The wounded man was in critical condition at Denver Health Medical Center, said Denver police spokeswoman Leslie Branch-Wise.
No names have been released.
The shooting was reported at 7:24 p.m., then the chase stretched to the north, partially on Interstate 25, until the man ditched his car at West 35th Avenue and Navajo Street, about a mile away.
“It’s my understanding he jumped out of his car and was caught and taken into custody there,” Branch-Wise said. She would not comment on the relationship of the two men.
