CENTENNIAL, Colo.—Jurors are taking the weekend off after spending two full days considering the fate of man accused in the disappearance and presumed death of his daughter.
Aaron Thompson is charged with fatal child abuse and dozens of other crimes in the death of Aarone (AIR’-uh-nay) Thompson. He reported her missing in November 2005, when she would have been 6. Thompson has since acknowledged she is dead.
Thompson’s attorneys say Aarone was killed by Thompson’s live-in girlfriend, who died in May 2006.
Deliberations began Wednesday. Jurors were excused for the weekend early Friday afternoon and to return Monday.
