On Wednesday, the Fairview Knights’ boys tennis team beat the vaunted Cherry Creek Bruins on their home courts. Dave Warren (No. 1 singles), right, and Ed Weingartner (No. 2) earned relatively easy victories, and the Knights’ No. 1 and 4 doubles teams wrapped up the team victory.
Nearly perfect:
Broomfield’s Jojo Haden scored a 9.975 on the vault Tuesday in a meet with Standley Lake and Sterling. In winning every apparatus, Haden’s all-around score was 38.175.
No triskaidekaphobia:
Delta pitcher Tiffany Schaaf fanned 13 Durango Demons on Friday night in the Panthers’ 11-4 victory.
