Lingering precipitation and falling temperatures could mean snow in the mountains and puddles in the city this week.
There’s a 40 percent chance of snow mixed with rain in Park, Grand and Summit counties tonight, with temperatures in the mid-30s, with lingering chances of snow and rain Monday and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service office in Denver.
Lows could reach 24 degrees by Monday night in the High Country with lows in the 20s again Tuesday night, forecasters said. Daily highs will warm back to the 60s in the mountains during the latter part of the week.
The metro region, the plains and northeast Colorado have a 60 percent chance of rain again Monday. The highs Monday won’t get out of the lower 50s, according to the Weather Service.
A 40 percent chance of rain is in the forecasts for Tuesday and Wednesday, as highs improve to the upper 50s, according to forecasters.
Rain moves out of the metro region’s forecast on Thursday and Friday, as highs return to the 70s.
