We’re starting to figure things out, aren’t we?
Firstly, the Houston Texans don’t have a defense. Fantasy owners looking for a spot starter (byes begin in Week 4) can get excited that the pathetic Detroit Lions now have a twin.
Although Texans quarterback Matt Schaub and receiver Andre Johnson bounced back against the Titans, Houston’s Steve Slaton and Tennessee’s LenDale White put up meaningless stats for the second week in a row.
The Broncos might be out of the Sieve Club, which takes a little luster off the likes of Larry Johnson (Chiefs), Darren McFadden (Raiders) and LaDainian Tomlinson (Chargers). Darren Sproles (Chargers) should be grabbed in every league; he seems to find a way to strike fantasy gold even against a stout defense such as the Ravens’.
Any Brian Westbrook (Eagles) owner who didn’t grab LeSean McCoy as a backup probably deserves their fate this week. Westbrook’s bad ankle is hurting, but the warrior says he’ll be fine. You’ve heard this before.
Are the healthy Bengals back in fantasy relevance? Stay tuned.
