Welcome back and keep the queries coming

Today’s comes from Matt in Colorado Springs:

Q: Which games are the Broncos breaking out those hideous brown-and-yellow uniforms for?

A: As part of the AFL’s 50th-season celebration, the original AFL franchises will wear replicas of their 1960 uniforms at least once at home and once on the road this season.

The Broncos will break out the home version of the brown/mustard-yellow ensemble, including the vertically striped socks, for the Oct. 11 game against New England.

That is an afternoon affair against head coach Josh McDaniels’ former team. The Patriots will wear their road throwbacks for that game.

The Broncos will break out the road version the following week in San Diego — Oct. 19 — when they face the Chargers in a primetime matchup on “Monday Night Football.”

It is just one man’s opinion, but having seen both versions of the Broncos throwbacks, the road set looks better than the home set.
