LONGMONT, Colo.—Satellite image provider DigitalGlobe Inc. says its new satellite will be launched Oct. 8, two days later than originally planned because of a delay in the launch of another mission in line before it.

WorldView-2 will be launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. It will be the company’s third satellite.

DigitalGlobe, based in Longmont, sells high-resolution satellite images to defense, intelligence and commercial clients for mapping and analysis, environmental monitoring, energy exploration, navigation and other uses.
