SAN FRANCISCO — The Giants are close to finalizing new deals for general manager Brian Sabean and manager Bruce Bochy.

A formal announcement could come as soon as this weekend but more likely Monday, during Bochy and Sabean’s customary postseason address.

“I can’t (confirm it),” Bochy said Thursday. “We have three more games and that’s my focus. I’m under contract.”

Sabean received a two-year extension in 2007 that took him through this year and the Giants had to exercise a club option for 2010. Bochy’s three-year contract worth roughly $6 million is due to expire at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, left-hander Randy Johnson said he will take his time deciding whether to pitch next season.

The 303-game winner said there’s no rush and added health and his ability to start again could play a role. Johnson, who turned 46 last month, has been relegated to relief late this season following two-plus months on the disabled list with a shoulder injury.

“There’s no real sense of urgency,” he said. “I’m going to go home and do what everybody else does.”

Johnson, who has 4,873 strikeouts, is 8-6 with a 4.93 ERA in 17 starts and four relief outings.

Footnotes.

Pitcher Carlos Carrasco left Cleveland’s game against Boston after getting struck by Jacoby Ellsbury’s line drive. The club said he has a bruised left quadriceps.

• The Mets are cutting the price of 2010 season tickets by an average of at least 10 percent.
