LOS ANGELES — After 16 victories, after anchoring the rotation for four months, Jorge De La Rosa’s postseason fate will come down to how well he throws in a side session Tuesday in Philadelphia. If his injured left groin responds well, he will likely start Game 3 on Saturday at Coors Field. If not, he will be left off the division playoff roster.

“If he’s able to throw a bullpen (session), there’s a good chance he factors into the mix. But we don’t have a definite answer yet,” manager Jim Tracy said.

De La Rosa, who suffered the injury Saturday night, remained optimistic after Sunday’s game. He received treatment during the day.

“I am going to be OK. I am optimistic,” said De La Rosa, who finished last season with the same injury.

De La Rosa’s injury has left the Rockies’ rotation uncertain. Tracy is committing only to Ubaldo Jimenez starting Game 1 on Wednesday. Aaron Cook is expected to start Game 2, with Jason Marquis or Jason Hammel options for Game 3 if De La Rosa is out.
