Hang on to those memories of Wednesday.
Because by the time today’s morning rush hour is over, memories will likely be all that’s left of Wednesday’s autumn sunshine.
Gusty north winds were expected to blow in across the northeastern plains Wednesday night, bringing a chill and maybe even snow today, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters say that after 10 a.m. today, there is a 70 percent chance of snow, which could amount to 1 to 2 inches in the metro area. The foothills and mountain areas could get up to 5 inches, forecasters predicted.
Today’s highs aren’t expected to climb much past 45 degrees, and tonight’s low could get down to 29 degrees, with a slight chance of snow overnight.
