Emmylou Harris has been praised as much for her rich body of work as her longevity, and for good reason: Few artists can claim a career spanning four decades, a dozen Grammys and collaborations with folk-rock legends Gram Parsons, Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, Neil Young and Linda Ronstadt. Harris is touring through December behind last year’s “All I Intended to Be.” She plays CU-Boulder’s Macky Auditorium on Nov. 20. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. today. ($35-$55, Ticketmaster)

Martina McBride and Trace Adkins’ “Shine All Night” tour stops by the Budweiser Events Center on April 8, promising “big-voiced ballads and high-intensity production.” Tickets for the pop-country double bill aren’t on sale until Feb. 5, so we’ll be sure to remind you when it comes around. Keller Williams is best known as a one-man jam band, using precision looping technology to create his own backing tracks, although on last year’s “Live” he put together a proper band in the form of bassist Keith Moseley, guitarist Gibb Droll and drummer Jeff Sipe. He plays the Ogden Theatre on Jan. 16. Tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday. ($27.75, Ticketmaster)

Jon Reep, “that Hemi guy” and the winner of Season 5 of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” returns to Denver for a Nov. 5-7 stint at Comedy Works. Also announced this week: Old-schooler Brad Upton (Comedy Works, Nov. 19-22), up-and-comer Ryan Stout (Comedy Works South, Oct. 28-31) and “Chelsea Lately” and TV regular Whitney Cummings (Comedy Works South, Oct. 21-25). One Kind Favor picked the perfect day to reunite for a Grateful Dead costume party and tribute show. The band, composed of ex-Shakedown Street members, will play a special Halloween cover set of the Dead’s “American Beauty” at Swallow Hill on Oct. 31. ($10-$12, swallow )

Danielle Ate the Sandwich, a crush-worthy Denver solo artist enjoying a recent bump in visibility, leads a packed singer-songwriter lineup announced this week by the Walnut Room. In addition to her show tonight with Benyaro, Dovekins and Dan Craig, there’s Americana darling Jolie Holland (Saturday), Mirah with Norfolk & Western (Oct. 19), Locksley with Nico Vega (Oct. 24) and Erin McKeown with Jill Sobule (Nov. 27). The Pearl Street All-Stars will help the the Mountain Sun Pub and Brewery celebrate 16 years with a fundraiser at the Boulder Theater on Oct. 24. The supergroup features members of the String Cheese Incident, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Groove Collective and George Clinton’s Parliament. Proceeds benefit KGNU community radio. Tickets are on sale.
