A 38-year-old woman has been accused of having sex with a teenage boy and introducing him to methamphetamine, according to court documents.
Marci Ann Carillo of Aurora was arrested Monday on suspicion of sex assault of a child by a person in a position of trust.
Carillo had sex with a 16-year-old boy on several occasions while she lived in his Conifer-area home, according to an arrest affidavit.
The affidavit said Carillo lived at the home with her three children and the teen’s father from July 2008 until February.
Carillo bought and supplied marijuana for the teen, and according to the affidavit, as they shared the pot, “they started to spend more time together and grew closer and confided in each other.”
In August 2008, Carillo hugged the boy to comfort him about a death in his family. That night she snuck into his room and had sex with him, the affidavit said. They kept their sexual relationship a secret from his father.
The father eventually “found marijuana on his son” and a “drug syringe in the toilet” of his home, the affidavit said.
Carillo moved out of the home in February, but the teen would visit her in Aurora, he told investigators, and they continued a sexual relationship.
In May, the boy was “caught with marijuana at school” and ordered into counseling.
During counseling, and off drugs, the boy said he felt Carillo “had taken advantage of him” and that she made him “lose a year of his life and forced him into being an old man and taking care of her children when he was still a kid himself,” the affidavit said.
A counselor brought the teen’s allegations to law enforcement authorities, who started an investigation.
The teenager told investigators that Carillo took him to a Denver apartment at least three times to buy drugs and that he smoked methamphetamine twice while Carillo injected the drug.
In September, investigators recorded a phone conversation between Carillo and the victim, with the teen’s cooperation and consent.
During the phone conversation, the boy asked Carillo if she would like to have sex and she replied: “I would love to,” according to the affidavit.
During the same phone conversation, the teen invited Carillo back to the Conifer home, telling her his father would be away, and she agreed to visit and bring marijuana, the affidavit said.
Carillo is free on a $50,000 bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for Friday.
