LINCOLN, Neb.—Anyone who knows anything about Nebraska knows its residents love Husker football.

That fact didn’t escape senior presidential adviser David Axelrod, in Lincoln to speak at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on Friday night.

Axelrod congratulated the crowd on Nebraska’s 27-12 win Thursday night over Missouri.

Noting the entire game was played in pouring rain, Axelrod said he could relate. After nine months in Washington, he said, “I appreciate victories on a sloppy field.”
