LINCOLN, Neb.—The Nebraska baseball team’s annual Red-White Series continues at 3 p.m. Friday at Hawks Field in Lincoln.

The Red squad won the opener 8-6 on Thursday, with Cory Burleson and Patric Tolentino combining for seven RBIs.

Burleson went 2 for 4 with four RBIs and a run scored. Tolentino had two hits, including a three-run double to break open a one-run game in the sixth.

Red starter Casey Hauptman got the win, scattering seven hits over five innings and striking out five.

Michael Mariot took the loss, allowing three runs on six hits over 4 1/3 innings.

Admission to Friday and Saturday’s intrasquad scrimmages are free, and a concession stand will be open. Game time Saturday is 11 a.m.
