COLORADO SPRINGS — Chris Donovan had a goal and two assists, and Chris Rawlings had 34 saves as Northeastern beat Colorado College on Saturday to earn a split of the teams’ weekend series at the World Arena.

Donovan’s first goal of the season at 19:04 of the second period turned out to be the winner for the Huskies (1-1-0). Donovan also assisted on first-period goals by Robbie Vrolyk and Garrett Vermeersch, helping Northeastern build a 3-1 lead.

Colorado College’s Mike Testwuide scored two goals. Tyler Johnson scored at 9:34 of the third period to bring the Tigers (1-1-0) within one goal. But Rawlings was unbeatable the rest of the way.

Tyler O’Brien made 24 saves for Colorado College.

Bemidji State 7, Air Force 3

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State scored four goals in the first period en route to a victory over Air Force.

“We played harder and competed better than last night, but didn’t play smart,” Falcons coach Frank Serratore said. “We have to learn how to play as a team.”
