AURORA, Colo.—Denver police say they are investigating high school soccer players from Aurora in a case that could lead to misdemeanor sex crime or harassment charges.
Aurora Public Schools Superintendent John Barry said Tuesday that Hinkley High School staff received a report Sept. 30 about “inappropriate physical contact” between members of the school’s junior varsity and varsity soccer teams on a bus taking players back to the school after a game in Arvada days earlier.
Barry didn’t disclose details, but he says students will be expelled and suspended.
Barry says no teachers have been fired, but two school district employees who were supervising students on the bus are being evaluated.
